🎬 Introducing the Trailer for Frank Abroad

There are moments in every writing journey when a story grows beyond the page. When the characters, the setting, and the tension all begin to demand a different kind of life—one that can be seen and heard as much as it is read.

Today, I’m excited to share one of those moments with you.

I’ve just released the official trailer for Frank Abroad, the seventh book in my Frank Rozzani detective series. It’s the first trailer I’ve created on my own and I look forward to doing this for all of my books.

🌍 A Story That Demanded a Visual Voice

Frank Abroad has always felt different to me.

It was inspired in part by a trip I took to Italy in 2018 with the St. Mary’s of the Lake choir from Skaneateles, New York. The cities we visited—Rome, Assisi, Florence, Padua, and Venice—left a lasting impression on me. The architecture, the history, the music, and the people all found their way into this story.

So when it came time to promote the book, I knew I wanted to capture that atmosphere in a more visual way.

The trailer brings those locations to life and places Frank Rozzani right in the middle of them—far from home, out of his jurisdiction, and racing against time to solve a case that becomes more dangerous with every clue uncovered.

🔍 From Quiet Trip to International Crisis

In Frank Abroad, what begins as a family trip quickly turns into something far more serious when a young member of the touring choir disappears overseas.

Frank is forced back into investigative mode—this time without a badge, without official authority, and without the safety net he’s used to in the United States.

The trailer reflects that shift in tone—from scenic beauty and travel to suspense, urgency, and danger.

One of the things I’m most proud of with this trailer is how it balances two very different elements:

• The beauty and history of Italy

• The tension of a high-stakes investigation

• A visualization of my characters (more to come on that in a future post)

That contrast is at the heart of Frank Abroad, and I hope the trailer gives you a sense of both.
